“I wish that I was a very big bird. I wish I will be very very tall. I hope I will be a good driver. I want to be a very good man”

I watched my two sons play dress ups as birds and jumped off their toy box hoping that they would magically be able to fly. Their faces were filled with all the hopes and dreams of childhood and I snapped some photos of their joy. When I processed the images I saw something darker. As a parent, I worry about their own life journey and their responses to uncovering their own limitations and the limitations placed upon them in the future ahead. I hope that when they do spread their wings and leave my nest, they will still be emotionally enriched and unscathed from the tumbles of life, prepared for their next chapter.”
