Joe lives in Bondi, where he was married, where his only son John was concieved and where he and his then wife were rescued by the lifeguards. 30 of his 57 years were spent in what he describes as “hell” – either living on the street or behind bars. 11 years ago, life changed, and Joe is now a vendor for “The Big Issue” magazine and believes life is beautiful.
